ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (M/F/D)

THE ROLE:

  • Provides daily advisory assistance across multiple company departments, with a focus on bolstering project development and pipeline progression
  • Prepares and reviews legal documents essential for project development and company operations, including title studies, due diligence reports, public deeds, land lease, easement and interconnection agreements, among others
  • Supports contractual negotiations with project and corporate stakeholders, including but not limited to landowners, communities, utilities as well as equipment suppliers and service providers
  • Implements contract management processes by registering, systematizing, and organizing land control documentation as well as associated contractual obligations
  • Offers legal guidance and support in navigating corporate affairs, encompassing mergers, acquisitions as well as other strategic transactions, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with corporate best practices
  • Provides assistance in legal proceedings such as hearings, arbitration or litigation that impact the company, ensuring the safeguarding of its legal and commercial interests through adept analysis, strategic guidance, and proactive measures
  • Extends legal support in formulating internal procedures and protocols, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory standards and fostering operational efficiency
  • Monitors legislative and regulatory developments and advises management on operational and corporate impacts
  • Oversees external legal services to leverage specialized expertise and support in navigating complex legal matters

THE INDIVIDUAL:

  • Chilean law degree and associated title conferred by the Supreme Court
  • At least 5 years of demonstrated, legal experience in Chile's energy sector with a record in land control management and project development
  • Business proficiency in Spanish and English. Additional third languages such as German or Portuguese are a plus
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Openness to business travel
  • Driver’s License, category B
